John Stacy
How do animals move through the landscape? What are the moments of their lives? John witnesses those lives at close range – always watching and learning. Movements, reactions, habits, emotions, interactions that are all fleeting moments captured in time by bronze. It’s a challenge to transfer time in nature into a solid image.
A lynx lazily napping on a warm rock in the sun, wolves flowing through the landscape on their way someplace, the rush of a golden eagle accelerating into thin air, or even a sleepy grizzly bear scratching an itch behind the ear.
....The idea is the key, but how do you express it beautifully?
